Report on reasonable accommodation of cultural diversity in the workplace

The ENAR Foundation supported the publication of the report of ENAR’s 3rd Equal@work meeting on the theme ‘Reasonable accommodation of cultural diversity in the workplace’.

ENAR’s Equal@work initiative is a pioneering initiative, launched in 2009, bringing together businesses committed to diversity and inclusion, anti-racist civil society and other relevant stakeholders to find solutions to ensure the full participation of ethnic minorities in the labour market. It also enables the sharing of best practices and initiatives promoting equality in employment that have been undertaken by private companies, trade unions and governments. The added value of the ENAR Equal@work initiative is the creation of a multi-stakeholder dialogue, which broadens our respective horizons, generates trust and inspires innovation.

This latest report presents the findings and recommendations of the meeting held in Brussels on 8 December 2011. It puts forward a series of key recommendations to improve practices of reasonable accommodation of cultural diversity in the workplace. It also highlights a number of best practices addressing the challenges of reasonable accommodation of diversity.
